Email Signatures

Have you been using Email Signatures?

1)      Quick effective way of relaying your contact details to your correspondents

2)      Saves time instead of typing your contact details at the end of every email

3)      Adds consistency to your Emails with a more professional look.

4)      Provides a quick link to awareness social pages such as Facebook, twitter, Flickr and YouTube.

5)      Convenient opportunity to pass on general notifications messages such as themes and mottos e.g.

Get a new to the more recommended and standard ICRAF and ILRI Signatures;

 

 

To create an email signature;    

1)      On the top left part of your outlook window, click File, click Options. The Outlook Options dialog box will pop up.

2)      Click the Mail category and then click on the Signatures... button. The "Signature and Stationery" window pops up, there are three sections under E-mail Signature tab; In "Select signature to edit" section, click "New" button.

3)      You'll be asked to name this signature, give a name, then click "OK"

4)      In "Edit signature" section, type in the text for your new signature and format it in any way you require using the highlighted section, then click "Save" button above it (right beside the "New" button).

5)      In "Choose default signature" section: Select an email account if you have multiple accounts. Select a signature for all new messages that you'll be writing. Select a signature for all replying and forwarding messages that you'll be composing

6)      To create another signature, repeat step above. Click "OK" to close the "Signature and Stationery" window.

Next time when you write a new email message, the default signature will automatically be included if you have set it up in step above, otherwise, you can click the "Signature" icon and select one from the list:

To edit your signature;

1)      On the new email screen, on the Messages tab, click Signature drop down menu and select signatures:

2)      The Signature and Stationery screen will open.

3)      Make the relevant changes to your signatures and click ok.
