Stephen Dean
Interim Head, ILRI /ICRAF ICT

 

Stephen is a joint appointee working half time with ILRI and half time with the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF). Stephen is responsible for providing leadership in the information technology efforts of the Centres in close collaboration with the Site Information Technology Managers and users at all sites. He provides overall advice, guidance, supervision and unit coordination on Information Technology-related issues in addition to liaising with service providers, vendors and partners.Ext 4196 (ICRAF) or 3250(ILRI)

Isaac Kihara
ICT Busuness Systems Coordinator

Isaac, a member of the ICT Applications team is responsible for maintaining and developing the MS SQL server database, developing databases, web-based applications, advising on and coordinating database and application development and operational systems within ILRI.

Rosemary Kande
ICT Customer Services Manager

Rosemary, a member of the customer services team leads the ICT Customer Service functions for ILRI and ICRAF. She provides the primary interface between the customers and the ICT Department and ensures that staff of ILRI and ICRAF, hosted organisations and visitors receive the expected level of service and support from the ICT Department so that they can work efficiently and effectively.

ICT Helpdesk Technician 

Loise, a member of the ICT customer services team manages the ILRI ICT Helpdesk, logging user requests and providing first level support while also providing administrative support to the ICT Unit.

Hilary, a member of the ICT customer services team , provides high level Customer Service support to the power users of ILRI. He ensures the efficient use of ICT equipment, applications and resources on the campuses through the resolution of high-end problems .He is responsible for resolving requests escalated by the technicians and for supporting the requirements of the “power users” on the campuses.

THE INFRASTRUCTURE TEAM

 

Keith Huma
ICT Infrastucture Manager

Keith leads the ICT infrastucture and "back office" functions for ILRI and ICRAF. His main task ensures ensuring that staff of ILRI and ICRAF, hosted organisations and visitors receive the expected level of infrastructure from the ICT unit so that they can work efficiently and effectively.

George Ogoti
ICT Server Specialist

George Ogoti, a member of the infrastructure team manages the server, storage, telecommunications and network equipment and the key systems and services implemented on this equipment both at ILRI and ICRAF. These are the backbone systems of all ICT work carried out at ILRI and ICRAF.

Harrison Gatumu
ICT Network Specialist

Harrison, a member of the infrastructure team, manages the internal and external networks of ILRI and ICRAF. This is the backbone infrastructure of all ICT work carried out at ILRI and ICRAF. He manages the internet connections that are used for the majority of our communications and access to external resources and the internal cabling and network infrastructure that connects all our computers together. Robert Okal
ICT Infrastructure Specialist

Robert , a member of the infrastructure team manages the server, storage, telecommunications and network equipment and the key systems and services implemented on this equipment both at ILRI and ICRAF. These are the backbone systems of all ICT work carried out at ILRI and ICRAF.

ICT Communications Officer

David Kimwaki, a member of the ICT Infrastructure team provides ICT communication service support on the Nairobi campuses of ILRI and ICRAF. He ensures the efficient use of communication services, equipment, applications and resources on the campuses through liaison with communication service providers, the resolution of problems and passing on of their knowledge and experience. Ext 3251 (ILRI)
